So don’t hesitate to contact Monmouth County Heating for all your Monmouth County Heating needs. Unless of course you would rather freeze during the long, cold, dreary months of winter. Furnaces, a common form of internal heating, also commonly break. The common reasons vary; sometimes, the problem is within the internal workings of the internal heating. Clogged filters can block off the hot air that is trying desperately to circulate through your house. Sometimes, the problem goes back even closer to roots, like the ignition. If you can’t get the darn thing lighted, you can forget about heating your house. All the little bits and parts of the furnace might slowly wear away with age too, so proper maintenance is important if you want to keep your furnace running healthily.

Beware of warning signs | Monmouth County Heating Repair

Watching for warning signs is a good way to keep up maintenance on your heater. Common things to look out for include strange noises you hear from your furnace or heating system. It might just be the kinds of the piece, or it could be a sign that something’s wrong, or about to go wrong. Better to take care of those sort of problems early, versus waiting for them to deteriorate. The biggest warning sign that your heating system is out of alignment is, of course, when you no longer are getting any heat out of the vents. That’s when you really should call Monmouth County Heating.

Marlboro Furnace Replacement

February 10, 2017 By admin

The last thing you want in the winter is your heating breaking down. To help prevent an unexpected furnace failure, there are some signs to be aware of. Here are the top warning signs that you need Marlboro furnace replacement.

Signs You May Need Marlboro Furnace Replacement

  • Your furnace is more than 15 years old. The average life expectancy for a gas furnace is 18 years. However, according to a source, you should get Marlboro furnace replacment if your unit is over 15 years old with an ENERGY STAR rated furnace, which is 15% more energy efficient than other furnaces on the market.
  • Your heating bill increased. A variety of problems could be causing this. But if you have repaired your furnace by a reputable heating company and had your air ducts properly sealed, your energy bill shouldn’t increase dramatically. A sudden increase in your heating bill from the years before may mean that your furnace is on its last legs. As internal parts wear out, your gas and electric bill may go up. The extra money you’re paying in gas and electricity could go towards your Marlboro furnace replacement.
  • Your furnace has been repaired frequently the past two years. Furnaces incur the most repairs during the last two years of their lives. It comes to the point where keeping your old furnace running isn’t worth the cost. Add up the cost of repairs to your furnace over the last two years and see if it’s cost efficient to just get a Marlboro furnace replacement.
  • Your furnace makes strange noises. When you turn on your furnace, does it make any rattling, popping, or banging noises? Older furnaces make these strange noises at the end of their life. Also, does your blower turn on and off frequently? Does it blow cold air? This is another sign that your furnace needs to be replaced by a professional heating company.
  • Thermostat setting never keeps you comfortable. Are some of your rooms too hot or too cold? Are you constantly adjusting the thermostat to stay comfortable? If so, it may be because your furnace can no longer distribute heat properly throughout your house.
  • Your burner flame is yellow instead of blue. If your furnace’s flame is yellow instead of blue, it could be a sign that your furnace is producing carbon monoxide.

Signs That You May Need Heating Repair

January 9, 2017 By admin

If you’re living in the New Jersey area during the winter, you never know when you may need to utilize your heating system to stay warm. Needing heating repair when your house is freezing is no fun. Your system may be in need of heating repair and, while a good maintenance session can spot general signs of trouble, you can help the process out by watching out for certain indicators that are saying your heater needs some professional attention. Here are some indications that you may need heating repair :

Indications That You May Need Heating Repair

  • The Heater Stays Running – If your heater runs constantly without any sign of turning off it probably means that either it isn’t generating enough hot air or that the air flow in your ducts is sufficiently restricted to slow heat into your home. You can usually spot the signs if you keep having to turn your thermostat up.
  • Strange Noises Come from Your Heating System – A strange noise qualifies as any noise you don’t normally associate with the functioning of your heater. It can include humming, rattling, moaning, buzzing or chirping noises. The causes can be anything from detritus caught in the exhaust fan to a clog in the lines. It will only get worse when you run your heater untreated. Turn it off and call a professional for heating repair services right away.
  • Ignition Trouble – In modern furnaces, the ignition is usually electrically generated, and if it’s not receiving power, then your furnace may struggle to turn on. If your system has a pilot light, make sure the light is on and burns blue instead of yellow (yellow flame indicates a bad fuel mix).

Fall Heating Repair Guide

October 21, 2016 By admin

Fall Heating Repair GuideWell, the Fall is here, which means it’s time to consider any heating repair that may need to be done before Winter rolls in.  There are some basic maintenance procedures that can be done on your own (changing the air filter, checking the pilot light and the belts, insuring there are no leaks, etc.).  However, here are some things that call for a heating repair professional:

Fall Heating Repair Guide

black-soot1.  Soot Deposits

If you think soot only sticks around fire places, think again!  That fine, black powdery dirt collects after combustion and can be a signed that you have a cracked heat exchanger.  You may also need a new heat exchanger all together!  Or, your burners may need adjusting.  If there is soot around your heater, call for professional heating repair.

2.  Short Cycles

If you furnace is turning on for three minutes, off for three minutes, on for three minutes, off for three minutes, it has irked it’s way into a cycle called short cycling.  If the thermostat is broken or out of adjustment, this can happen, so check your thermostat first.  Otherwise, your heat exchanger may be overheating, causing the burner to turn off automatically (which is a good thing, when it happens once in awhile).  If your unit is short cycling, you will waste an incredible amount of energy and not find the goal of heating your home and / or water.

3.  Noises, Clanging, Rumbling, etc.

If you hear odd noises, rumbling, clanging, or popping, call the heating repair professional.  That is, if you have forced air heating.  A hot water heating system, or a steam heating system may make those noises regularly, especially during the beginning of the heating season.  Still, if the noises are a surprise to you or cause of concern, check with a professional to be sure you know what you’re dealing with, well before the winter cold freezes you over!

4.  Flame Irregularity

sneezingYour burners may be dirty or you may have a cracked heat exchanger if the flames on your furnace are irregular.  That means they are not lined up in the even rows they typically would be.  If they lean toward the back of the unit or are uneven, call a pro!

5. Chronic Illness

I bet you may not have considered that your heating system may be causing those flu-like symptoms and headaches.  If you suffer these ailments and can’t seem to find the cause, consider calling a heating repair professional, just to check in.  Combustion gases or carbon monoxide from your exhaust stack or heat exchanger could be causing your body to be in defense mode.

In need of a professional heating repair company for the Fall and Winter seasons?  C & C Air & Heat is the best central New Jersey Air Conditioning & Heating company you will find!  They offer a wide range of services for air conditioning, air filtration systems, heating, and repair.  Call them today!

What Are Some Indicators That You Need Heating Repair Services?

September 14, 2016 By admin

It may be an obvious sign that you need heating repair is when you wake up freezing because the heater never turned on,  But sometimes your heater will start to give off signals that it isn’t going to last much longer. You’ll definitely want to become familiar wit these signals. Here are four to keep in mind:

Do You Need Heating Repair?

  • Heating Repair Services in Edison NJHigher electric bills: If you have not changed your level of energy usage, higher bills are usually a sign that something is not working as it should.  You will definitely want to be on the lookout for this since you do not want to be wasting money on a broken heater.
  • Unusual sounds: You should expect a small amount of sound from any heater or furnace, but different or new ones will be a sign that something else is going on. This is perhaps one of the most obvious one to signal the need for heating repair, since loud, unexpected noises are difficult to miss.
  • Difficulty breathing: Besides heating your home, your heater should also help dust move freely through the room, and if you have noticed a higher rate of allergy or asthma issues with your family, your furnace may not be filtering the air properly. You may just need to change the filter, but if that does not work call a professional.
  • Higher carbon monoxide: Unfortunately, this is the most difficult to notice, and the most dangerous. A furnace that is malfunctioning will greatly affect the levels of carbon monoxide in your home, potentially harming you and your family. By installing carbon monoxide detectors in your home, you will be alerted whenever there is a change in levels.

Heating Repair 101

September 8, 2016 By admin

If are you interested in basic heating repair tips or are in need of expert heating repair, here are some things you will need to know to be sure you get the job done right, as quickly as possible!

Heating Repair 101

First, identify the type of heating unit you have in your home or business.

Identifying the type of heating unit you are working with is absolutely essential in determining what types of maintenance will need to be done to properly sustain the life of your unit.  This information will also allow you to accurately communicate to your heating repair company what needs to be done or at least what type of unit they will be working on.  Here is a brief summary of the different types of heating units that are most commonly found in a home or business:

Furnace or Heatergas-furnace-candcair-heating-repair

If you have a furnace or heater, you may have heard the term “forced air heat”.  This type of unit burns natural gas, oil, propane, or electricity to heat air that is pumped throughout air ducts to each of your rooms.  These heaters are often found in closets, attics, basements, or crawl spaces.  Though the actual unit may be easy to locate, because of the extensive ductwork that is often involved, be sure to take any heating repair needs to a professional, even just for a consultation.

Boiler

Different than a furnace alone, a boiler holds hot water that is literally boiled into steam and used to heat the air in your home.  Though boilers can be powered by any type of natural gas, oil, electricity, or propane, they also use water, which makes them especially dangers to work with if ever in need of heating repair.  Boilers are often utilized for the heating system in addition to heating the hot water in your home, so it is important that you take care of any necessary maintenance or heating repairs as soon as they happen, or you may be faced with cold showers until it gets fixed!

Heat Pump

Different than other types of furnaces or hot air heaters, heat pumps work to both heat and cool your home or business.  Heat pumps use electricity to reposition air from a hotter to a cooler space or vice versa.  Heat pumps can utilize air ducts or not and other have an indoor and an outdoor component.

Heat_Pump-heating-repair-candcairGeothermal Heat Pump

Geothermal heat pumps are even more efficient than heat pumps and use the consistent temperature of the earth to change the temperature of your home or business.  They are very quiet, so it may be tricky to know at what point your system is in need of heating repair or basic maintenance.  It may also be tricky or even dangerous to access in order to repair.  Definitely consider a good heating repair company to have on call in case of any questions or emergencies.

Package Units

A package unit will often combine the components of some type of heating source with a cooling or air ventilation unit.  If you are in need of heating repair and have a package unit, consult with a professional to be sure your repairs don’t fix your heat but leave you without air conditioning or fresh air!

Choosing the Best Professional for Your Heating Repair:

AC Repair CompanyAfter you have identified the type of heating system you have, you will better be able to maintain the system and look for other tips and hints to more efficiently run your unit.  In addition, you will better be able to communicate your heating repair needs to your choice of HVAC repair companies.

When choosing the best heating repair company for your job, be sure to consider the following points:

  • Check for documentation and licenses.
  • Ask for referrals or references.
  • Require a written or electronically saved estimate before services begin.
